Ideally located for relaxing breaks exploring the delights of southern Shropshire, these comfortable holiday cottages adjoin the owners’ home just 8 miles from Ludlow, a town renowned for its selection of gourmet restaurants, annual festival, interesting shops and magnificent castle ruins. Tree and decorations for Christmas bookings are available. Locally, the beautiful rolling landscape affords lovely walking with particularly wonderful views at Clee Hill (2 miles). Stokesay Castle and the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre are nearby, whilst Shrewsbury, Hereford and Leominster and the famous Iron Gorge Museum are all under an hour’s drive. Shop 0.5 miles, pub serving food 1 mile.

One bedroom. Entrance hall. Spacious and very comfortable beamed open plan sittting/dining room with radiant fire in inglenook and kitchen area. Laundry room (accessed from outside). First floor: Twin bedded room with ensuite shower room/WC.

Reviews
We wanted peace and seclusion - and this is the perfect place! The property is quite isolated but has good walking nearby and villages within a few minutes drive. The historic town of Ludlow is just a short drive away and there are many other attractions not too far away.
As for the property itself, we have NEVER stayed in a place so clean and so well appointed, and you could not ask for a more friendly or helpful owner. She lives in the farmhouse next door, but gives holiday-makers the privacy they need whilst always available if help if required.
We rarely recommend anything, but would certainly recommend this holiday accommodation to anyone else looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday.

Bev and Des offer fabulous accommodation in a seriously beautiful spot. Quiet and stunning location but very close to all you would need from a holiday. It was so restful I definitely did not want to come home. Thank you for your helpfulness and courtesy. I will certainly recommend you.

Peaceful, uncrowded and still largely devoted to farming, this is one of England’s most unspoilt counties, as you’ll discover during a break in one of our holiday cottages in Shropshire. Take a walk on the Long Mynd a dramatic ridge which stands high over the landscape, then pop in to the small village of Church Stretton which nestles in the valley below for a hearty tea.
The county town of Shrewsbury sits on a hill almost completely surrounded by a loop in the river Severn. Here you’ll find Elizabethan timber-framed buildings and handsome Georgian terraces. Shropshire even has its own centre of gastronomy in the charming town of Ludlow, which boasts a number of Michelin starred restaurants as well as a profusion of specialist food shops. The splendid Norman castle at Ludlow is also well worth a visit, as is nearby Stokesay Castle, both within a short drive of our holiday cottages in Shropshire.
Seeing Shropshire today it’s hard to believe it was actually the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. You can see where it all started at Ironbridge Gorge. Don’t miss Blists Hill, which recreates life at the turn of the twentieth century.
